Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We look for three main criteria when evaluating a book:
1. Does the book support a biblical worldview? While not every book will have theology as a primary storyline, we strongly believe the Bible is the word of God and source of ultimate truth. We will not endorse a book that does not support the Christian worldview. Sometimes books tell a deep truth to illustrate biblical values, and othertimes storytimes can be primarily for fun and discussion as children learn to love reading and having intentional conversations with family and friends.
2. Do children want to read this book again and again? When kids don't connect with the characters or story lines are too boring, kids check out and don't ask for a book to be read again. While every kid is different, we test read these books to lots of different children to assess if it's generally a story to which kids are drawn.
3. Do parents enjoy it enough to read it again and again? Surely we're not the only ones who have skipped sentences, paragraphs, (should I admit to even pages?), of stories that I just don't enjoy reading! For different reasons parents can find books boring and when the reader isn't interested in the plot of the story, kids won't be either.
We'd welcome your feedback for books that you love! Please contact us on this site to send any recommendations we need to hear about! Please be aware we do get lots of book recommendations and can't review every good book out there, but we will do our best. Also, know that we will primarily only recommend books that are currently in print and available for purchase through main retailers around the country.
